Complete Control Over Your Comfort
With a dual motor recliner, one button raises the footrest and tilts the backrest back, and a second motor adjusts the headrest. It sounds simple, but it makes a big difference.
With a single motor seat, the back and legs move together, and nothing else adjusts. Recline for a film and your head simply follows the angle of the backrest.
Dual motor adds the headrest. Recline all the way and tilt the headrest forward, so you still look straight at the screen. Sit more upright and tilt it back for the neck support that suits you.
The motors run whisper-quiet – you barely hear them during the film.
Want to get the most from your cinema seat? Choose dual motor. The price difference with single motor pays back in comfort.
What is the recline range of a dual-motor cinema seat?
The recline motor in a dual-motor cinema seat takes the backrest from approximately 90 degrees (fully upright) to around 160 degrees (near-flat) and raises the footrest as it goes: one button moves both. The second motor tilts the headrest, and that is what distinguishes dual-motor from single-motor operation: with a single motor, the recline is all you get, so your head simply follows the backrest angle.
The practical advantage shows up in everyday use. Recline for a film and tilt the headrest forward so you still look straight at the screen, or sit more upright and set the headrest for a relaxed conversation. At Delux Deco, dual-motor recline is available across all product tiers, from the Ultimate Luxury Universal Ultimate down to the Premium tier. Side buttons or a wireless remote let you adjust both motors together or separately.
Can dual-motor cinema seats return to a base position?
Several dual-motor models, including the Universal Ultimate, Vivendi, Atlas and Cassoni, have a Home button: one press returns the seat and the headrest to their base position. In a household where several people share the same cinema room, whoever sits down next starts from the same upright position.
From there you set the recline and the headrest to suit you, which takes a few seconds. If you add LED ambient lighting or massage features, those have their own controls.
Is dual-motor recline available in every Delux Deco model?
Dual-motor recline is available across every product tier at Delux Deco, including Premium, Super Premium, and Ultimate Luxury cinema seating. The motor mechanism itself is the same at each tier — two independent motors rated for tens of thousands of cycles. What changes between tiers is the surrounding feature set: Premium seats pair dual-motor with essential comfort features, Super Premium adds LED lighting and USB charging, and Ultimate Luxury adds massage, chilled cupholders and touch controls on models such as the Universal Ultimate.
For cinema sofas, dual-motor recline is standard on most configurations. Each seat on a sofa operates its own independent motors, so a 3-seat cinema sofa contains six motors total. The choice between tiers depends on which ancillary features matter to you rather than on the quality of the recline itself. All Delux Deco seats come with a 10-year frame warranty and a separate electrical warranty covering the motor and mechanism.

Dual-Motor Cinema Seats - Frequently Asked Questions
A dual-motor cinema seat contains two electric motors. On most of our models the first reclines the seat: one button raises the footrest and tilts the backrest back. The second motor adjusts the headrest, so you can tilt it forward or back and keep your eyes on the screen at every recline angle.
The motors used in our cinema seats are quiet enough that they will not interrupt the audio during a film: you hear the film, not the mechanism. Adjustment takes a few seconds and runs smoothly without jerking or grinding.
The motors are rated for tens of thousands of cycles, far exceeding typical household use over many years. Delux Deco cinema seats come with a manufacturer warranty covering motor and mechanism faults, so any technical issue is handled without cost to you.
Dual-motor cinema seats typically cost €200 to €400 more per seat than equivalent single-motor models, depending on the model and configuration. The premium covers the second motor for the headrest, its control wiring, and the more complex mechanism. Given that dual-motor keeps your head supported at every recline angle, most buyers consider it a worthwhile upgrade for daily cinema use.
Yes. Dual-motor cinema seats at Delux Deco can be operated via side-mounted buttons on the seat or a wireless remote control, depending on the model. The wireless remote controls both motors independently — separate buttons for the recline and the headrest — and works from anywhere in the room. Higher-tier models replace the buttons with an integrated touch panel in the armrest.
